With some 1,000 vehicles already delivered in just 75-days, the PROTON e.MAS 7 is well on its way to securing its position as the best-selling electric vehicle on the market. The combination of excellent value and well-considered packaging has made the e.MAS 7 a clear focal point for EV buyers in Malaysia, who are certainly voting with their wallets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Premium variant (at RM119,800) makes up the bulk of deliveries, the Prime is actually the most interesting of the two. At RM109,800 (reduced to RM105,800 for the first 6,000 bookings) the Prime represents exceptional value. Though contending as a C-segment SUV, optimised packaging means the e.MAS 7 offers D-segment levels of cabin and cargo space at two-thirds the price of a combustion D-segment SUV. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its 49.52kWh Aegis short-blade LFP battery offers 345km on a full charge (based on the WLTP cycle), which is generous enough to accommodate a week\u2019s worth of daily commuting between charges. Once the battery depletes, the e.MAS 7 Prime continues to impress with its 11kW AC charging speeds allowing the car to be recharged from nought to full in under 5-hours. It doesn\u2019t disappoint in terms of DC charging speeds either with the e.MAS 7 Prime able to accept up to 80kW, therefore reducing 30%-80% charge times to just 20-minutes. This is especially useful over long-distance trips, which is something PROTON imagines many e.MAS 7 buyers will take in on occasion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance on the Prime variant also hasn\u2019t been compromised, offering the same 218PS and 320Nm as the plusher Premium model. The e.MAS 7 has the distinction of being the fastest-accelerating PROTON in history, able to complete the century sprint in just 6.9-seconds. This makes the e.MAS 7 an excellent motorway companion \u2013 this is aided further by the excellent levels of refinement in the cabin with well-controlled levels of wind- and road-noise all the way up to (and beyond) the national motorway speed limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking in journeys in the PROTON e.MAS 7 couldn\u2019t be easier, either. Taking their learnings from the smart premium brand of electric vehicles, the e.MAS 7 offers built-in satellite navigation with the Integrated Live Charging map. Working with multiple charge-point operators, the built-in navigation can not only navigate to chargers but also display the availability of them, minimising the risk of getting stuck at a full charger along your journey. Adding to this is the e.MAS app that includes the ability to manage and pay for your charging sessions \u2013 this means no fumbling with multiple applications for multiple charge point operators, as the app integrates functionality for over 85% of public chargers across the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And you can pay for your charge however you\u2019d like: Credit or debit card perhaps, but even FPX. It\u2019s never been easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the discounts being offered for the first 6,000 bookings, the \u2018Launch Power Pack\u2019 also offers a 7kW home charger, Vehicle-to-Load adaptor, as well as 5-years unlimited-data for your new eMAS 7. This is in addition to the 6-year\/unlimited mileage warranty on the vehicle and 8-year\/160,000km warranty on the high-voltage battery (inclusive of a 1-to-1 replacement of the entire battery module should its state-of-health drop below 70% during the warranty period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
