Bateriku, the popular on-demand battery replacement service, has today strengthened consumer confidence in their ASTRA own-brand batteries by receiving SIRIM certification for all 28 of its stock-keeping units (or SKUs). This coincides with the official launch of the ASTRA battery brand, though it has been available on the market for the last three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that time, over 1-million ASTRA batteries have been sold through the Bateriku service, either through its app, website, or via Bateriku stores around the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The certification that ASTRA has received from SIRIM recognises and acknowledges adherence to international quality and safety benchmarks, which notably cover maintenance-free (MF) batteries, enhanced-flooded (EF) batteries, and absorbent glass-mat (AGM) batteries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting ASTRA apart in the market is that all new units offer free Group Takaful Personal Accident (GPA) insurance coverage of up to RM7,000, as well as nationwide warranty coverage (inclusive of on-location assistance). This allows ASTRA users to benefit from the entirety of the Bateriku ecosystem available across the country, which the company says ensures greater peace of mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SIRIM certification comes after considerable investment by Bateriku in establishing a quality lab at one of its facilities in Selangor. This ensures that every ASTRA battery adheres to the necessary quality and safety standards necessary to not only qualify for certification, but to meet customer expectation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASTRA batteries are available now via Bateriku\u2019s website, app, partners (like TNG e-Wallet and Setel), or via the 24-hour hotline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
